Morningside College was established in 2006 with a generous and imaginative founding donation from the Morningside Foundation.
Morningside College delivers a novel college experience to 300 students on a fully residential and communal dining basis. Its relatively small size allows for a level of intimacy among students and personalised learning experience that is possible only in a small and cohesive community.
‘Morningsiders’, as our students call themselves, value ideas, diversity, creativity, individuality, and civic responsibility. Its student body is one of the most diverse in the University, with residents from all over the world. The College aims to help students develop the values, intellectual breadth and practical skills needed to play leading roles in a wide range of disciplines and professions.
A sense of social responsibility and engagement is central to the Morningside ethos. All our students take an active part in community services throughout their university years. These and other activities lead them to a deeper understanding of themselves and of how they can have a positive influence to the world.
